See Our Ability

See Our Ability (SOA) is one such encouraging exhibition which was introduced by FOD in 2001. SOA is sponsored by a Delhi-based export house, RITES. Under this project, designs for hand made greeting cards are invited from trained as well as amateur artists including children with disabilities. The paintings are then selected by the sponsor. The artist gets Rs. 80/- for each of his/her selected painting and the unapproved ones are returned back to the artist.

The project is very encouraging for the children and the unemployed artists as they can earn a little pocket money. The monetary incentive for their artwork not only boosts their self-confidence but it further motivates them to improve upon their art skills. The project has proved to be a great success. Till February 2005, Rs.1,75,000/- have been disbursed among 33 artists.

Guidelines for paintings under SOA project
- Each painting should be exactly of 6" in height and 4" in width
- It should be made on a good quality paper
- Any medium for colouring can be used
- Design should be drawn vertically
- Any number of paintings can be submitted
